Submission Instructions
All conference submissions for EuroMed2026 are completely electronic, and abstracts, accepted papers and all supplementary material must be submitted through the online submission website. EuroMed2026 accepts only original, unpublished work written in English.
Abstracts and Papers are submitted via the OpenConf platform.

All the papers will be published by Springer Verlag in LNCS. The 10 best submitted papers will be published in a special issue of an International Journal on Digital Heritage.

- The Submission ID provided by OpenConf must be included in correspondence.
- A separate system is used for conference registration.
- All accepted contributions will be published in the Springer Verlag in LNCS.
- Manuscripts must be prepared in strict accordance with the Springer guidelines.
- Manuscripts must be in English and should not exceed 16 pages in total (including literature, tables, acknowledgements, and images).
- At least one author of each accepted paper must register and present the paper at the conference.
- Contributions without any associated regular registration will not be published.
Please note that it is imperative not to delay the submission until the last minute. Deadlines for submissions can be found on the EuroMed2026 Important Dates page. If you experience long waiting times, still be patient. From our experience, the submission server will have high traffic running up to deadlines.
Authors of accepted papers will have the opportunity to present their work at EuroMed2026 as a 15-minute oral presentation, delivered live online. All accepted papers that successfully pass the peer-review process will be included in the conference proceedings, published in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series by Springer Nature.
Author Guidelines
Prepare your manuscript in the Springer format
EuroMed2026 accepts the submission of abstracts in the first instance, with invitations for submission of full papers sent for those passing review. Both Abstracts and Papers must conform to the Springer format to avoid delays in the review and publication process.
Springer has produced guidelines for authors summarising how a LNCS proceeding paper should be structured, how elements (headings, figures, references) should be formatted using their predefined styles, etc. It also provides some insight into how your paper will be typeset at Springer. The Author’s Guidelines PDF can be downloaded from Springer here.
Springer has also produced two templates to help authors prepare their manuscripts in either Microsoft Word or LaTeX format. These can be downloaded from Springer here.
Each contribution must be accompanied by a completed Springer copyright form, the so-called ‘Licence to Publish‘ form. This form can be downloaded from Springer here. Modified forms are not acceptable. Authors will be asked to transfer the copyright of the paper to Springer. This will ensure the widest possible protection and dissemination of information under copyright laws. One author may sign on behalf of all of the authors of a particular paper. In this case, the author signs for and accepts responsibility for releasing the material on behalf of any and all co-authors.
NOTE: Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format before their paper is submitted to Springer.

Submitting Your Abstract
A two-stage process on OpenConf
EuroMed2026 uses the OpenConf platform for peer review and submission management.

Register Your Submission
If you have already registered a submission, please use the issued Submission ID to avoid duplication and delays.
- Follow the Authors > Make Submission link to register your abstract
- Fill out the requested details
- Include the Keywords (up to 5) and Abstract (up to 500 words/1 full page) fields as presented in your paper
- Choose and confirm a password for the submission
- Register the paper using the ‘Make Submission’ button
Both the Topic Areas and Abstract sections are designed to help match your submission with reviewers and assign your contribution to the most appropriate session. These are used to evaluate the submitted contribution only; they are not published but will be included on the conference website for accepted papers. If further clarification or comment is needed, please use the Comments field to communicate this to the committee.

Receive your Submission ID
On submission, you will be taken to a summary screen, which will provide your Submission ID. An email will also be sent to the Contact Author (Author 1) and the Alternate Contact (if details have been provided). Please remember to check your junk folder in case of misdirection.
Please use your Submission ID for all correspondence to assist in processing submissions and requests.

Submit Your Abstract
Once have your Submission ID, your abstract .PDF should be submitted separately for review. Your abstract should be
- 1 Side A4 – approximately 500 words.
- In .PDF Format.
- In English.
- Up to 5 keywords.
Please ensure that submitted file names start with the Submission ID (i.e, ID123_File-Name.pdf)
- Follow the Authors > Upload File link.
- Enter your Submission ID and password.
- Choose your selected PDF (Note: file size limit is 20MB).
- Upload file using the ‘Upload File’ Button

Confirm your upload
On successful upload, you will see the message “Submission ID XX has been uploaded.” Note: No automatic email confirmation of upload is sent; confirmations will be sent only after completing the submission process, not just submitting an abstract.

Before you submit
All documents are submitted in PDF format. Before submitting your paper, please make sure that you have completed the following.
- Informed all co-authors of their inclusion in the paper.
- Prepared your paper in line with the Springer guidelines above.
- Filled and signed the Licence to Publish form.

Camera-ready manuscript
In the case of a contribution accepted for publication, a camera-ready manuscript must be submitted by the due date shown on the EuroMed2026 Important Dates page. In this camera-ready manuscript, the name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s) must be identified, and acknowledgements can be personalised.
